"I developed an interest in the field of acting and modeling. I have been working with utmost dedication to fulfill my dream of becoming an actor," Wasif shared in a recent interview.
His academic credentials are impressive – a Bachelor's in Technology from the National Institute of Technology (NIT) Srinagar in Mechanical Engineering and a Master's in Robotics and CAD/CAM. This strong educational foundation gives him a unique perspective in an industry often criticized for lacking intellectual depth.

Wasif's journey hasn't been without challenges. Coming from Kawarhama village, he faced limitations and obstacles that tested his resolve.
"In a village, it is very difficult to make it as there are always limitations. But I worked hard day and night, and many times I could not sleep for nights together," he recalled.
His dedication is exemplified by an incident from three years ago when he rode his bike to Gulmarg at 6 a.m. in January's severe cold for a shooting event. This level of commitment has been a constant in his career.

Wasif began his career in 2021 as a background artist in Bollywood productions. His persistence paid off as he gradually secured roles in notable projects like "Beast" and "Avrodh 2," working alongside established stars such as Guru Randhawa, Vicky Kaushal, and Emraan Hashmi.
Currently, he is working as a lead actor in a song album titled "Toota Taara," collaborating with recognized talents like Mahima Makwana and Shivin Narang – a significant step forward in his career trajectory.

"Earlier, they were not happy with my modeling. They wanted me to become an engineer. Later they realized that I was interested in art and they supported me fully," he explained.
He particularly credits his mother for her unwavering support through all phases of his life – a testament to the changing attitudes in Kashmiri families toward non-traditional career paths.

Looking ahead, Wasif has set his sights on popular reality TV shows. "I have dreams of joining MTV Roadies and Bigg Boss-like shows. I work hard for it, and I hope one day I'll find my place in such shows," he shared.
His artistic philosophy emphasizes uniqueness and originality: "I believe that art is unique in its own way, and it differs from one person to another person. I was interested by heart, and I took it as a challenge, and I am still learning more and more."

Beyond his personal ambitions, Wasif is conscious of his role as a voice for Kashmir's youth. He expresses concern about drug addiction in society and emphasizes the importance of education and proper career guidance.
"I advise the youth to work with dedication and determination to achieve their goals. We must keep one thing in mind that the onus is on the youth of Kashmir to work for the betterment of our society," he stated.
He also sees encouraging signs in the increasing number of young Kashmiris pursuing careers in art, music, and entertainment: "There are young singers and artists who want to take part in national and international platforms and showcase their talent. Many people are taking part in national shows."
